Pipe Welder
Pay: $25 DOE
Shift: 2nd shift 1:30pm - 10:30pm
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding of piping systems up to 48” Ø using SMAW and FCAW equipment
• Prepare, cut, bevel, and assemble pipe components using CNC pipe cutters and tube benders.
• Read and interpret both structural and piping blueprints with accuracy.
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and code specifications (ASME Section IX, API codes).
• Inspect welds for defects and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Work collaboratively with fabrication and engineering teams to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural welding/fitting or pipe welding in industrial or fabrication environments.
• Proficiency with SMAW, FCAW welding equipment.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills (structural and piping).
• Knowledge of ASME Section IX and API welding standards.
• Ability to work in multiple positions (1G–6G) and handle large-diameter pipes.
• AISC certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred:
• Experience with robotic pipe welding equipment.
• Additional welding certifications (AWS or equivalent).
