A well-established local manufacturer is seeking an experienced Welder to join their production team. This position operates within a metal forming environment and requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Pay & Schedule
- $18.00/hr and up depending on experience!
- 1st and 2nd shift opportunities available
- Perform welding operations (GTAW – Gas Tungsten Arc Welding preferred)
- Operate production machinery and equipment
- Move materials manually and with a forklift
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Accurately use measuring instruments and gauges
- Produce quality parts that meet company standards
- Log in/out of jobs using the shop floor data collection system
- Follow daily production schedules and meet production standards
- Perform general building and machine 5S maintenance
- Lift and handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds
- Maintain consistent, on-time attendance and return promptly from breaks
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Practice safe work habits and report any unsafe conditions
- Maintain a quarterly review rating of 6 or higher (goal of 10)
- Participate in ongoing and advanced training as offered
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Prior welding experience required (GTAW preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use a computer for data entry and job tracking
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment
