With minimum supervision, provides product development support to the department to ensure the timely development of new designs and availability of products.Acts as key liaison between company and our manufacturers for private label design and development of new products. Creates product lines sheets and technical profiles for each development. Responsible for daily communication for each development, assures design direction is clear and precise, and samples are delivered as scheduled.
Represents frame manufacturers and suppliers for product development, design, and quality-related communications from concept to delivery of products.
Monitors manufacturers and supply companies to obtain new product releases and secure priorities in production.
Responsible for all logistics pertinent to incoming frames shipments, both new and existing; includes products, freight forwarders and deliveries. Updates internal reports and schedules, communicates with vendors and coordinates samples of quality related products to vendors for action and follow up.
Responsible for developing frame orders and keeping factories on schedule; develops bar code and retail related support orders based on frame orders. Responsible for frame case management to assure suppliers ship on-time and items are in stock.
Oversees the internal product development process for new frame and part orders, sales samples, new model set up functions in Macola system and new frame releases. Responsible for setting up all new model and parts information into inventory management system; updates existing SKUs with current availability status.
Responsible for coordinating the monthsly Product Release schedules and deliveries of new products across multiple departments and updates the staff accordingly.
Communicates with vendors, both foreign and domestic, to ensure accurate and timely receipt of information, develops summary order report, maintains records and files of inventory items.
Ensures new frames meet division quality standards prior to receipt into inventory.
Tracks, updates, and publishes reports showing status of each shipment, updates incoming and in-house shipment files, initiates, or resolves discrepancies related to deliveries, develops packets including purchase order(s), count sheets, tracking sheet and quality sheets. Matches frames to purchase order, receives frames into inventory system at specified quantity and value. Provides backorder and availability reports for Retail Sunglasses.
Updates inventory records based on status information on restricted inventory items, develops inventory support items and modifies existing reports to include new models/SKUs.
