About the Role
We are seeking a field-driven Superintendent to lead traffic signal and roadway lighting construction projects from installation through closeout. This role is highly hands-on and focused on day-to-day field execution, crew leadership, and schedule performance. You will serve as the on-site leader responsible for safety, productivity, and quality across multiple active work areas.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Crew Oversight
Lead daily field operations for traffic signal systems, roadway lighting, and associated electrical infrastructure.
Schedule & Resource Management
Plan daily work activities, assign crews, and coordinate equipment and materials to maintain project timelines.
Quality & Compliance Execution
Ensure work meets applicable standards, specifications, and inspection requirements throughout construction.
Coordination with Project Teams
Work closely with project management, inspectors, and agency representatives to support project progress and issue resolution.
Safety & Site Control
Promote and enforce safe work practices, jobsite controls, and crew accountability.
Qualifications
Superintendent-Level Field Experience
Demonstrated experience leading field crews on traffic signal and/or roadway lighting construction projects.
Electrical & Infrastructure Knowledge
Strong understanding of roadway electrical systems, signal installations, and related underground and above-ground infrastructure.
Crew Leadership & Performance Management
Proven ability to direct multiple crews, maintain productivity, and drive jobsite accountability.
Organizational & Communication Skills
Ability to manage daily priorities, communicate clearly with field and office teams, and resolve jobsite challenges quickly.
Safety-Focused Mindset
Consistent commitment to safe operations and high-quality workmanship.
Work Environment
This is a field-based role working on active roadway and infrastructure projects. The position requires regular exposure to outdoor environments, construction activity, traffic-controlled work zones, and varying weather conditions.
