Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to support the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable (AP) function. The ideal candidate will ensure timely communication with vendors, maintain accurate documentation, and provide administrative support to promote efficient financial processes.

Location: Latham, NY
Compensation: $55,000 - $62,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, ensuring timely review and distribution of incoming emails and requests
  • Respond promptly and professionally to vendor inquiries, resolving discrepancies and payment-related questions
  • Complete and submit required Accounts Payable forms and documentation accurately and in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records and files
  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounts Payable department, including data entry, filing, and report preparation as needed
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in accounts payable, accounting, or administrative support preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
