Position Summary

The individual will oversee the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance with IFRS, and alignment with corporate objectives. This role provides leadership for the finance function, monitors financial performance, and ensures robust systems and processes to support growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Oversee the Accounting (Balance Sheet), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and oversee audits to mitigate financial risks.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Planning & Analysis Support

  • Partner with FP&A and senior leadership to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Provide insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver variance analysis, performance dashboards, and detailed financial reporting for management.

Operations & Cost Management

  • Collaborate with operational teams to drive cost control and process efficiency initiatives.
  • Support capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning and analysis, including ROI modeling and project monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate product costing and margin analysis to inform pricing and operational decisions.
  • Review cash flow projections to maintain strong liquidity and financial stability.

Team Leadership & Compliance

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, accounting standards, and corporate governance.
  • Serve as a key partner to auditors and external advisors during financial reviews.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven leadership with strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting (IFRS).
  • Expertise in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), financial reporting tools, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA required; CMA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in leadership/Controller roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing or product-based industries preferred.
  • Experience managing international teams is highly desirable.
