Our client in the technology manufacturing space is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to serve as the primary analytics resource supporting production and operational teams. You will transform transactional data from NetSuite ERP into meaningful insights used by leadership, auditors, and customers to improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
You'll serve as the go-to resource for manufacturing analytics—turning ERP and operational data into clear insights that help teams make smarter, faster decisions.
- Create and manage recurring production reports that track performance against plan, monitor cycle times, and highlight throughput patterns across manufacturing stages.
- Produce inventory visibility reporting to ensure materials are available when needed, including tracking on-hand balances, incoming supply, and allocation status.
- Develop dashboards and visual summaries designed for senior leadership, including content suitable for executive reviews and strategic planning.
- Investigate production issues by analyzing NetSuite data, identifying trends, shortages, delays, and operational variances.
- Evaluate work order flow and manufacturing activity to pinpoint inefficiencies, capacity limitations, and opportunities to improve productivity.
- Support audit and compliance initiatives by generating exception reports, preparing supporting documentation, and ensuring reporting accuracy and traceability.
- Build forecasting models and capacity plans to support production scheduling, growth planning, and operational readiness.
- Improve reporting efficiency by refining NetSuite saved searches, streamlining data extraction processes, and integrating data into Excel and business intelligence tools.
- Utilize modern analytics tools, including AI-assisted technologies, to accelerate analysis and uncover meaningful trends across datasets.
Required Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence within a manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment.
- Direct experience working with NetSuite ERP, including building reports and working with saved searches and analytics tools.
- Advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, Power Query, and complex formulas used for operational analysis.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying and creating reports or dashboards for leadership teams, executives, or external stakeholders.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as work orders, bills of materials, inventory management, and work-in-process tracking.
- Familiarity with audit and compliance reporting requirements, including SOX-related processes.
- Experience with visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau
- Experience connecting NetSuite data to external reporting tools using ODBC/JDBC or similar methods
- Basic Scripting using SuiteScript, JavaScript, or similar
- Background supporting hardware, electronics, or high-mix manufacturing environments.
