Overview
Client is seeking a senior-level Infrastructure / Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure with strong focus on security, resiliency, performance, and lifecycle management. This role is a Tier 3 escalation point supporting Windows and Linux/UNIX environments, virtualization, remote access services, and disaster recovery planning/testing.
Core Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain production and non-production infrastructure to meet security, resiliency, and performance needs

Drive infrastructure lifecycle management, capacity planning, and standardization across the enterprise

Lead architectural improvements across networking infrastructure, hardware, monitoring tools, and supporting application infrastructure

Provide Tier 3 on-site and/or remote support and resolve escalated issues from global IT teams

Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities; support endpoint/security tooling

Support remote access technologies including VPN, Citrix, and Terminal Services/RDS

Design disaster recovery solutions and lead DR planning and testing activities

Review and approve vendor invoices as needed
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
-
8 years of infrastructure/systems experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

4 years designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise technology infrastructure

Strong Windows Server administration experience (2003–2016)

Strong Exchange Server administration/monitoring experience (2003–2016)

Experience configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux environments

Virtualization experience (Hyper-V and/or VMware vSphere)

VPN troubleshooting/configuration experience (Cisco, Palo Alto, OpenVPN; IPSec)

Experience supporting Citrix and Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI layers)

Experience remediating security vulnerabilities; familiarity with antivirus/anti-spam/anti-spyware tools

Strong communication skills and ability to produce clear written documentation
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills or Experience

Azure cloud experience (preferred)

Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)

Relevant technical certifications (preferred)

Disaster recovery architecture and test leadership experience
