About the Opportunity

Nesco Resource is seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer with strong Aveva E3D experience to support major industrial and energy infrastructure projects in the Houston area.

This role focuses on detailed structural modeling and design execution for large-scale thermal facilities, steam generation plants, and heavy industrial environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on 3D modeling expertise within an EPC or engineering firm setting and thrives in multi-discipline coordination environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D structural models using Aveva E3D

• Design and model steel structures, pipe racks, platforms, equipment supports, foundations, and concrete systems

• Produce structural design deliverables including models, drawings, and design documentation

• Collaborate closely with civil, mechanical, piping, and process engineering teams to ensure design integration

• Interpret engineering calculations and translate into accurate 3D models and construction drawings

• Support clash detection, model coordination reviews, and design optimization

• Incorporate project specifications, client standards, and applicable structural codes into design execution

• Provide design support through construction as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience)

• 5 years of structural design experience within EPC or engineering consulting environments

• Strong hands-on proficiency in Aveva E3D

• Experience supporting industrial facilities, thermal plants, steam generation, or heavy industrial projects

• Working knowledge of structural codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC)

• Experience working in multidisciplinary design teams

• Ability to work hybrid in Houston, TX
