Job Description: Equipment Technician
An Equipment Technician installs, maintains, and repairs solar/electronic traffic control devices like message boards, arrow boards, and cameras. The role involves traveling in company vehicles, performing field repairs, and assisting with traffic control setup, with training provided for candidates.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain portable traffic signals, message/arrow boards, and sensors.
- Field Deployment: Install and program electronic traffic control devices at job sites.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical issues on-site.
- Safety & Logistics: Travel to sites, maintain the company vehicle, and follow all safety protocols.
- Experience: Previous experience in electrical, mechanical, or traffic control work is beneficial but not required; training is provided.
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for nights and weekends as needed.
