Job Summary:
The Trim Press Operator is responsible for operating trim press machines to remove excess material (flash) from cast or molded parts. The operator ensures that parts meet quality specifications, maintains production efficiency, and follows all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor trim press machines to remove flash or excess material from die-cast or molded parts.

Load and unload parts manually or using automation equipment as required.

Inspect finished parts for defects, quality issues, or deviations from specifications.

Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting (e.g., changing dies, lubricating, cleaning).

Record production data such as quantities produced, scrap, and downtime.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and company policies.

Communicate any machine issues, part defects, or material shortages to the supervisor or maintenance team.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 1 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred; prior trim press or die casting experience is a plus.

Skills:

Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety protocols, and basic blueprints.

Basic mechanical aptitude.

Ability to use gauges, calipers, and other inspection tools.

Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and materials such as metals or lubricants.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, ear protection, and safety glasses is required.
