Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role within the Corporate Payroll team in a fast-paced, customer service–driven environment. This position interacts regularly with a diverse workforce, including colleagues and management, with high visibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Compliance

Process U.S. and Canadian payroll accurately and in a timely manner

Serve as secondary processor for U.S. and Canadian non-exempt payrolls

Complete and balance all required payroll reconciliations

Accurately prepare and process Form 941, W-2, T4, and other relevant tax documentation

Maintain payroll data in a compliant and secure manner

Apply discretion and sound judgment to ensure compliance and service excellence
Problem Solving & Process Improvement

Identify and remediate payroll processing errors
-
Approach payroll processes and systems with a continuous improvement mindset

Ensure accurate process documentation, including manuals and SOPs
-
Support special projects aligned with management metrics
Communication & Customer Support

Communicate effectively with local management teams to ensure accurate payroll processing

Provide timely, accurate, and professional guidance to employees
-
Collaborate with management and cross-functional departments to deliver exceptional customer service
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years of general office or accounting experience (payroll experience preferred)

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

Intermediate understanding of accounting and mathematical procedures required
Technical Skills

Knowledge of IBM systems (CICS & IMS) and MDM systems preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required

Knowledge of organizational business unit structures preferred
