Injection Molding Technician

Job Description

• Hands-on technician responsible for the startup, processing, and maintenance of injection molding machines and related equipment

• Process and handle polypropylene materials

• Perform work as specified and in accordance with production requirements

• Analyze and repair machine issues as they arise

• Complete all preventive maintenance for machines and related devices

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations; document actions by completing maintenance and quality forms

• Verify that connected automated systems are set to required parameters

• Clean, smooth, and position molds and cores as needed

• Set up and operate machines; read blueprints and measure products using calipers

• Troubleshoot injection molding machines and equipment

• Troubleshooting may include analyzing faulty equipment, identifying human error, and preventing defects

• Operate a forklift as required

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience with a focus on quality, safety management, equipment setup, and troubleshooting

• Minimum of 1 year of experience troubleshooting injection molding processes (2 years preferred)

• Prior experience with injection molding equipment preferred

• Experience with LS-Mtron, Milacron, Engel, Husky, or similar injection molding equipment preferred

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

• Hourly pay based on experience

• Rotating schedule; must be available to work weekends as needed
