Remittance Processing Specialist/Lockbox Extractor
Shift: 3rd Shift – 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM EST
Schedule: 20 hours per week (Attendance is critical)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary
Under direct supervision, this position supports the accelerated receipt and processing of client remittance data. Responsibilities include preparing and processing checks for clearing in accordance with standard bank operating procedures and preparing information for clients and service partners following established guidelines.
This is a production-driven role requiring accuracy, efficiency, and strong attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment.
Essential Job Functions

Receive, sort, prepare, and process remittances and invoice data

Open mail and extract paper invoices and payments

Sort and prepare batches for processing

Follow established corporate and department policies and procedures
-
Meet production and accuracy standards within 90 days of completing training
Additional Responsibilities

Cross-train in other functional areas to maintain coverage in critical department functions, including:

Mail sorting
-
Keying
-
Reassociation
-
Data entry
-

Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to read and follow detailed instructions

Strong eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

Ability to operate general office equipment

Flexible and able to work additional hours as needed

Ability to handle stress and remain composed under pressure

Dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers

Ability to work independently within scope of job function
Preferred Qualifications

Prior lockbox, item processing, or equivalent experience

10-key proficiency

PC and keyboard experience
