About the Role
Our client is focused on developing intelligent, high-performance backend services that drive the next generation of their digital products. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the backend services, APIs, and data pipelines behind mission-critical applications serving a global customer base.
You'll collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver backend systems that are reliable, scalable, and secure. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence system architecture, performance optimization, and technical strategy across the company's software ecosystem.
The team operates in a modern agile environment leveraging cloud services, CI/CD practices, and industry-standard tooling.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, APIs, and microservices
- Writing clean, reusable, and scalable code aligned with engineering best practices
- Partnering with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver complete end-to-end features
- Profiling, monitoring, and tuning application performance across services and data layers
- Diagnosing production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and deploying fixes with minimal disruption
- Contributing to architectural discussions, system design, and technical decision-making
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for backend components
- Participating in code reviews to uphold consistency and quality standards
- Building unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure system reliability
- Keeping current with emerging backend technologies and industry trends
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline — or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages, particularly C#, with some exposure to Node.js
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles
- Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
- Wix, WPF, and WinForms experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub or similar version control systems
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based architectures
- Familiarity with event-driven systems or messaging technologies
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
- Understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks such as OAuth and JWT
