Well-established company in Montgomery County is looking for a Production Manager to help lead its 1st shift operations. This position would be responsible for maintaining strong safety and quality programs, production planning and scheduling, process control, inventory, and staff training and development. Primary responsibilities include:
- Ensure regulatory environmental and safety requirements are met and the safety of our employees is paramount
- Production planning, scheduling, and inventory management
- Manage, train, and develop staff members through development of cross training programs, use of external training resources, and coaching.
- Supervise and manage personnel which includes hiring, training, development, and labor resource management
- Ensure regulatory compliance, strict adherence to standard operation procedures
- Conduct inventory control, in partnership with Supply Chain Manager, to ensure inventory is accurate and materials are on hand to meet demand.
- Partner with Maintenance/Engineering leadership to ensure proper machine operation and maintenance
- Coordinate with engineering to ensure proper testing, quality, and manufacturing procedures
- Oversee continuous improvement initiatives including 5S program.
- Special projects and other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management.
- 10 years of experience in production management in a fast-paced
- Bachelors of Associates Degree in Engineering, Management, or Business preferred.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Computer literacy including MS Excel and experience utilizing an ERP/MRP system
