Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area is seeking a CMM Programmer for our Machining Operations Center in Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develops and reviews quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured parts.
• Develops CMM process including designing fixtures, determining probes, and programming the machines.
• Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
• Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
•Supports the senior CMM programmers to develop ultra-precision processes.
Required Experience
- Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience with all of the below:
- This position requires proficiency in GD&T, experience generating inspection processes, programming CMMs, and determining part acceptance.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies).
- Knowledge of GD&T and its application in CMM programming
- Completion of Zeiss Basic course required. Would also like candidate to have Zeiss Advanced and Curve/Free Form courses.
- Knowledge of CMM programming software (e.g. Zeiss Calypso)
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications
