This position will be responsible to support developing and maintaining products for Auto OEM customer.
Responsibilities for this experience chemist will include:
Works with cross functional teams and support new color and product development, and technology cost and improvement projects.
Follow experimental procedures, generate reliable data and consistently demonstrates the ability to contribute to the design of experiments. Lead independent projects or portions of larger project.
Utilizes project management skills, process technology, knowledge of manufacturing, process technology, business, and internal/external resources with some direction/supervision from a team leader or senior chemist.
Demonstrate commitment to goals through words and actions. Demonstrates adaptability and will drive positive change. Fosters a culture of innovation.
Application of root cause analysis and BPI tools to support resolution of technical, manufacturing and field issues.
Support formula optimization and raw material initiative projects
Knowledge of chemistry/coating technology support the manufacturing, business, cost optimization and internal/external customers.
Seeks new projects and does not avoid complex assignments. Concisely describes action plans to appropriate parties.
Education & Skills
Bachelor s Science Degree in Chemistry or related Engineering or Science field with 2 or more years of coating experience
Good communications skills
Ability to support multiple projects
Preferably experience with Oracle, Quality Tool, Colorportal, LFA, NPD/Indx.
Preferably experience with project management
Ability to travel up to 15%
