Role Summary
The Human Resources Manager will serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership, responsible for developing and executing HR programs that align with business objectives. This position oversees all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment through separation, while ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of engagement and performance. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and hands-on operational excellence to drive organizational effectiveness through people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Partner with department leaders to forecast staffing requirements and build talent pipelines
- Design and execute recruiting initiatives to source qualified candidates for all levels
- Build partnerships with external recruiting vendors and educational institutions
New Hire Integration
- Oversee comprehensive onboarding processes to accelerate new employee productivity
- Develop orientation programs and early-tenure development plans
Workplace Relations and Culture
- Serve as trusted advisor to employees and managers on workplace matters
- Facilitate conflict resolution and provide coaching to enhance manager effectiveness
- Drive initiatives to strengthen organizational culture and employee satisfaction
Regulatory Compliance and Policy Management
- Maintain HR policies aligned with current employment legislation and industry standards
- Provide interpretation and guidance on policy application across the organization
- Execute compliance reviews and implement corrective measures as needed
Organizational Development
- Implement talent review processes to identify high-potential employees
- Design leadership development curricula and succession frameworks
- Champion learning initiatives that build critical capabilities
Engagement and Retention
- Launch programs to enhance employee engagement scores and workplace satisfaction
- Collaborate with leadership on culture-building and recognition strategies
HR Analytics and Strategy
- Monitor workforce metrics including retention rates, attendance patterns, and engagement data
- Deliver data-driven recommendations to executive leadership
Team Leadership
- Build and develop HR team capabilities to deliver efficient service delivery
- Support additional strategic initiatives as directed by executive leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, with manufacturing or industrial background strongly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of employment law including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and related regulations
- Demonstrated success implementing retention programs and reducing voluntary turnover
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Strong analytical mindset with emphasis on process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
- Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish
- Experience navigating both union and non-union workforce environments
