** 3 month assignment with potential to extend
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management and documentation of scrap materials on the manufacturing floor. This role requires proficiency in using SAP, Solumina, Access, and other relevant tools to maintain accurate records and facilitate effective reporting on the status of scrap materials.
Additionally, the candidate will have the unique responsibility of loading data into the FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) database, which is separate from the management of scrap materials.
Facilitate FAL request for part analysis in support of FRB activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrap Material Management: Efficiently manage and track all scrap materials generated on the manufacturing floor. Ensure that the scrap processing follows company standards and protocols.
- Documentation and Reporting: Utilize SAP, Solumina, Access, and other software tools to document and report the status of scrap materials. Maintain a detailed log/register with pertinent details such as material type, quantity, reasons for scrapping, and time since scrap.
- FRACAS Database Management: Load and maintain data in the FRACAS database, ensuring accurate and timely entry of information related to failures and corrective actions. This responsibility is maintained independently from scrap material management.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with inventory and quality teams to coordinate and resolve scrap-related issues in a timely manner to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to scrap material handling and disposal.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing staff, quality control teams, and management to support initiatives that reduce waste and improve product quality.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- An Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, Logistics, or a related field is preferred but not strictly necessary.
- Experience and Skills:
- Prior experience in manufacturing or logistics settings with emphasis on inventory management or scrap handling.
- Proficiency in using SAP, Solumina, Access, and other relevant enterprise software for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with loading and maintaining databases, particularly FRACAS, is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
