Job Title: AP Specialist

Pay Rate: 24-26/hr
Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient processing of Accounts Payable functions. This role ensures timely, accurate payment processing, maintains vendor records, and supports overall accounting operations while adhering to internal policies and deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receive, review, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports for accurate data entry and payment within strict deadlines.

Generate accurate and detailed reports related to bills and invoices.

Maintain and update vendor files and records.

Complete assigned tasks and respond to information requests using various accounting systems and software applications.

Review statements and reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of open invoices.

Perform accounting duties related to accounts payable and purchasing/inventory.

Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and controls.

Monitor and process company credit card transactions.

Prioritize and manage weekly payment disbursements; resolve vendor and employee inquiries or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal departments.

Work directly with vendors to resolve issues and maintain positive professional relationships.

Coordinate with the Staff Accountant to maintain accurate records for sales folders.

Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications

Associate degree preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Experience with ERP systems preferred; EPICOR experience is a plus.

Ability to work effectively under time constraints and meet deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills that are clear, concise, and well organized.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
