Position Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for setting up and operating equipment used to blend, mix, package, and transport liquid or dry chemicals that comprise customer products. This role ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with *** Corporation policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Set up, start, and operate production machinery, ensuring compliance with operating, safety, and ISO standards.

Weigh and measure ingredients according to recipe specifications and load materials into machinery; ensure correct materials are staged and used.

Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation; troubleshoot equipment and processing issues as needed.

Operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge, or otherwise handle materials per established procedures.

Visually and physically inspect materials to ensure conformance with quality standards.

Collect material samples and deliver to the laboratory for evaluation; assist with batch adjustments as directed.

Escalate issues or problems to the Production Lead or Production/Shift Supervisor.

Perform required machine cleaning and routine housekeeping.

Complete and maintain all required system inputs, transactions, logs, and production documentation; ensure data integrity.

Participate in training, retraining, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Follow all safety policies, work rules, and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical & Environmental Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands to handle tools and controls.

Occasionally required to sit.

Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 lbs; occasionally handle up to 250 lbs.

Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as dictated by plant safety guidelines, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, dust masks, hard hats, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, chemical suits, gloves, and aprons.

Work environment includes exposure to wet/humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, moving mechanical parts, non-hazardous chemicals, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and electrical hazards.

Noise levels are generally moderate, with some high-noise areas.
