Job Title: Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary
The Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting activities across assigned business areas. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to define hiring needs, source and assess candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions. The Recruiter serves as an advocate for both candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a compliant, efficient, and positive hiring experience.

Collaborates across departments to support timely and effective talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, success factors, and hiring timelines; revise and standardize job descriptions to align with business needs and best practices.

Prepare and post job openings across internal and external job boards, company career sites, social media platforms, and niche boards while maintaining employer brand consistency.

Proactively source candidates using Boolean search techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking, and other sourcing channels.

Build and maintain talent pipelines to support both current and future hiring needs.
Candidate Assessment & Hiring Process

Screen resumes and conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.

Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with clear summaries, insights, and recommendations.

Coordinate all interview logistics, including scheduling, interviewer preparation, distribution of interview guides, and collection of feedback.

Facilitate interview debriefs and support hiring decisions.

Assist with offer development, extend offers, and manage offer acceptance or decline communications.
Candidate Experience & Compliance

Communicate regularly and transparently with candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle to manage expectations and ensure a positive experience.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate and requisition data in the ATS/HRIS.

Generate recruiting and pipeline reports, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and conversion metrics.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.

Maintain strict confidentiality of candidate and hiring information.
Process Improvement & DEI

Support diversity, equity, and inclusion recruiting initiatives.

Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance candidate quality and reduce time-to-hire.

Contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting processes, tools, and metrics.

Participate in employer branding efforts and campus or industry outreach as needed.
Additional Responsibilities (As Needed)

Partner with HR on onboarding handoffs and first-day coordination.

Support recruiting events, career fairs, and campus recruiting activities.

Assist with occasional HR generalist projects related to workforce planning or reporting.
Qualifications
Required / Preferred
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.

3 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience (corporate or agency) preferred for non-senior roles; additional experience may be required for senior-level positions.

Experience with ATS/HRIS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and sourcing tools.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and hiring best practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present candidate profiles and hiring recommendations.

Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions, prioritize work, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Strong interviewing, organizational, and assessment skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience.

Professional certifications such as AIRS, PHR, or SHRM-CP are a plus.
