We are hiring Forklift Operators for our long-term client in Warren, MI! In this role, you will transport materials, tooling, supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility using forklifts (Hi-Lo), hand trucks, cranes, or other material handling equipment. You will also assist with loading and unloading trucks for receiving and shipping.
Forklift Operator – 3rd Shift
Location: Warren, MI
Pay Rate: $17.80/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift | Monday–Friday, mandatory overtime on Saturdays and/or Sundays
Key Responsibilities

Operate forklifts (Hi-Lo) safely and in compliance with company policies, including daily inspections and reporting any damage immediately

Prepare and submit maintenance requests for Hi-Los requiring attention

Move materials manually or using hand trucks, Hi-Los, or cranes as needed

Load and unload raw materials and finished products onto skids, pallets, or trucks

Ensure all collapsible dunnage is collapsed, and stack skids/pallets in designated areas

Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of scrap materials, cardboard, strapping, and other waste properly

Prepare materials for shipment or in-house use using hammers, wire cutters, strapping tools, crowbars, and other tools

Replenish raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and MRO items to the point of use; verify labeling accuracy

Rotate stock to maintain FIFO (First In, First Out)

Assist with cycle counting and pull system programs as directed

Hand-count or weigh partial bins during line changeovers and stage for proper retagging

Perform general housekeeping duties (e.g., empty chip hoppers)

Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications

Prior forklift/Hi-Lo experience preferred but not required

Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and/or Sundays

Strong attention to safety and detail

Mechanically inclined and able to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with professionalism

High level of accountability and reliability
