Location: Akron, OH
Pay Rate: $19-$28/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (overtime Fridays as needed)
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and test electrical wiring, fixtures, and machinery components
- Connect power supply wires and inter-machine cabling
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment using hand tools and test instruments
- Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensors
- Inspect systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards
- Rewire motors and replace motor bearings as needed
- Test electrical circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Maintain organized and clean work areas; return tools and equipment at the end of shifts
- Assist other departments and functions when required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
- Competent in electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repair
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills

- Six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical degree or certification preferred but not required
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and potential electrical hazards
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Vision requirements: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
