Role Overview
One of Nesco Resource's Oil & Gas clients in Houston is seeking a Logistics Controller I to support day-to-day dispatch and logistics operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable coordinating between field operations and corporate teams in a fast-paced environment.
The Logistics Controller will be responsible for dispatching drivers, tracking loads, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication across drivers, terminals, customers, and carriers.

Oil & Gas industry experience is a strong plus

1–3 years of logistics dispatch experience required

No degree required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
Primary Responsibilities

Dispatch company and contracted drivers for both scheduled and on-demand loads

Monitor driver status, hours of service, and route progress

Track loads from pickup through delivery and update dispatch systems in real time

Communicate with drivers, terminals, customers, and carriers to resolve day-to-day issues

Adjust dispatch plans due to delays, breakdowns, weather events, or operational changes

Verify bills of lading (BOLs), delivery receipts, and related load documentation

Enter and maintain load, mileage, and delivery data within the dispatch system

Support compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and internal safety requirements

Assist with detention tracking, layover reporting, and exception management

Generate daily dispatch, utilization, and on-time performance reports
