Material Handler / Equipment Operator
Shift: 2nd Shift 3pm-11 pm
Pay Rate: $18.69
Job Summary
The Material Handler / Equipment Operator supports daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations in compliance with policies and safety standards. This role is responsible for handling inbound and outbound materials, operating warehouse equipment, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting production and logistics activities. Regular use of warehouse and inventory systems is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, inspect, and verify inbound materials against transfer orders and packing slips
• Pick, stage, and ship outbound materials, ensuring accuracy, condition, and proper labeling
• Report and resolve discrepancies or damaged materials with supervisors
• Operate warehouse equipment including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, Drexel forklift, man-up turret lift, combi lift, pallet jacks, and company vehicles
• Coordinate movement of materials from dock to warehouse and production areas
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform daily cycle counts
• Prepare kitting packages for assembly or production needs
• Process overnight shipments, returns, recycling, and waste as required
• Support continuous improvement efforts and assist in correcting warehouse errors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment following Deufol standards.
• Participate in required training, safety programs, and environmental health initiatives
• Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and team members
• Work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice
• Be available for on-call support during nights or weekends when required
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or inventory control within a distribution center environment
• Strong knowledge of inbound and outbound warehouse operations
• Experience using warehouse management systems, preferably SAP
• Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy
• Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills
• Ability to lift 25–75 pounds regularly
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
