Location: Local candidates only
Schedule: Hybrid – In office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Overtime: Must be open to possible overtime during quarter-end and year-end periods due to increased order volume

Position Summary

The Data Specialist is responsible for preparing, loading, editing, and packaging digital data products used for petrophysical, geological, and borehole reservoir applications. This role supports data archiving, quality review, and secure delivery of final data products. The position requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to perform repetitive daily tasks with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Archive team by preparing data for archiving using in-house software

• Load digital data and perform quality checks to ensure data integrity prior to processing

• Prepare data through depth matching, splicing, merging, and other editing techniques

• Perform basic image and log normalization; assist with dip picking as needed

• Compile final data composites from interpreted products as required by technical or solutions teams

• Manage digital data transmission through physical delivery methods or web-based services

• Ensure accurate, secure, and timely delivery of all data products

Daily Work Expectations

• Daily tasks are consistent and repetitive in nature

• Role requires sustained focus and adherence to established processes and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

• Ability to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders

• Comfortable working collaboratively within a small team environment (team of approximately four)

• Willingness to perform repetitive job functions on a daily basis

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training (OJT) provided
