In this role, you will impact the production process by ensuring that all assembly tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards, directly contributing to the quality and reliability of our products. All candidates selected for Onsite interview will be required to complete an in-person test of knowledge for blueprints, measuring tools, and basic math etc. You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you'll work out of our St Louis, Missouri location on an On-site work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrated ability to follow direction, read blueprints and schematics.
Set up and change over equipment to operate various assemblies or features.
Identify and utilize appropriate materials, plumb or pipe pneumatics and hydraulic lines.
Affix specified motors and gear boxes to drive components.
Test each assembly to ensure proper fit and function.
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
Accurately track and log assembly time sheets for each build.
Properly identify and document QMS and department procedure.
Maintain work area for cleanliness.
Adherence to all safety standards and plant rules.
Transfer assembly to appropriate department for next step in production.
Utilize tape measures, calipers, squares, micrometers, and protractors.
General maintenance of tools and equipment.
Safe operation of the forklift, scissor lift and all other lift assist and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU MUST HAVE
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with hand tools and assembly equipment.
Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
3 years of experience in industrial assembly. (Class 1)
1 year experience in industrial assembly. (Class 2)
Mechanical aptitude, mathematical and problem-solving ability
An ability to troubleshoot and multi-task on projects.
Working knowledge and experience using hand tools.
Strong work ethic, analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail.
An Ability to collaborate with others and work independently.
An ability to communicate information clearly and accurately report on assignments.
