Nesco Resource is seeking multiple, experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians in Coeymans, NY. Our client is an industry leader in Construction and Maritime services. This position offers excellent benefits including generous 401(k) matching, safe harbor contributions, and a host of other benefits.
The Heavy Equipment Technician II is responsible for performing equipment maintenance and repairs independently, documentation, maintaining productivity, and supporting less-experienced technicians.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Complete full PM services, DOT inspections, and required documentation.
- Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, steering, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform engine and after-treatment service (EGR, DPF, SCR).
- Conduct driveline and clutch repairs, and basic transmission service.
- Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters and diagnostic software.
- Execute mobile service calls for on-road breakdowns when required.
- Maintain tool inventory, parts organization, and shop cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years in heavy equipment repair or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license; CDL-B preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Able to lift 75 lbs and work around active jobsites.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools (Cummins Insite, Detroit DDDL, etc.).
- Ability to read schematics and service manuals.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
