Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to help lead daily warehouse operations at our facility. This is a hands-on leadership role that supports picking, quality control, safety enforcement, staffing, training, and overall operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Supervise, train, and actively participate in warehouse functions including picking and quality control.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support warehouse management with staffing needs, including hiring, interviewing, training, and workforce allocation.
- Provide coverage for department supervisors during absences.
- Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational standards are maintained and continuously improved.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost savings, cost avoidance, and process improvements.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for department supervisors and warehouse employees regarding operational and personnel-related needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to employees and escalate larger issues or decisions to management as appropriate.
- Attend and contribute feedback during monthly one-on-one meetings between management and department supervisors.
- Lead by example to ensure compliance with all procedures and best practices.
- Motivate and develop a high-performing workforce through coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Measure, track, and report KPIs and operational metrics to warehouse management on a weekly basis.
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Proven experience managing 15 or more warehouse employees.
- Strong aptitude across all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Solid understanding of modern warehousing practices and methodologies.
- Critical thinking skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management systems.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
