We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Pallet Packer to join our team in Sandusky, OH.
Day-to-day duties would include, but are not limited to material handling, packing bulk product for shipment, using pallet jacks, and using RF scanners. This position is fast paced and attention to detail is a must.
Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $13/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Scan label on orders with RF scanner to start packing/shipping process
- Verify correct pallet amounts and order numbers
- Verify shipping address if multiple orders for one customer
- Create shipping labels for product
- Scan product to correct shipping labels and verify quantities to be shipped
- Pack smaller products into shipping boxes and apply correct labels
- Remove any extra product or retrieve any missing product for orders before shipping
- Stack boxes for shipping onto pallets in line with shipping requirements
- Move pallets to staging area to get wrapped and loaded onto trucks
- Experience using a handheld/ RF scanner.
- Prior Pallet Packing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience using a pallet jack
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to accurately read measurements and use a tape measure
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, keep up with other departments to not hinder production and shipping requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
- Ability to lift and move products as required, up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand continuously, bending, twisting, and/or squatting may be required
- Flexible to work overtime with little to no notice
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
