The role requires strong project management fundamentals, the ability to handle multiple concurrent efforts, and the communication skills to keep cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders aligned.

This is not a deeply hands-on engineering role, but the ideal candidate should be able to quickly understand technical environments, manage technical project documentation, and effectively coordinate with engineering, security, infrastructure, IT/OT, and business teams.

Priority Project Focus Areas

Candidates should have relevant experience supporting projects in several of the following areas:

  • Cybersecurity initiatives with stronger emphasis than general infrastructure

  • Risk Based Vulnerability Management

  • Threat Exposure Management

  • Hardware refresh projects

  • Network infrastructure projects including routers and related components

  • Cybersecurity tools, including initiatives involving blocking or controlling AI usage

  • GRC-related controls (helpful, but lighter focus)

Core Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be expected to:

  • Manage multiple Infrastructure and Cybersecurity projects simultaneously from initiation through closure

  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and status reporting

  • Handle project setup, forecasting, budgeting, accrual-related coordination, and invoice management

  • Track scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies across concurrent projects

  • Coordinate across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, IT/OT, vendors, and business stakeholders

  • Ensure project artifacts, reporting, and documentation align with client standards and governance requirements

  • Provide regular status updates, dashboards, PowerPoint updates, and project health reporting

  • Lead project meetings, governance reviews, follow-ups, and meeting minutes

  • Manage vendor coordination, timelines, deliverables, SOW alignment, and invoice-related follow-through

  • Proactively identify problems, bring the right people together, and drive timely resolution

  • Support change control, risk management, escalation management, and cross-functional communication

  • Maintain strong documentation and project records throughout the project lifecycle

Required Background

Candidates should show most of the following:

  • 5–7 years of Project Management experience

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent IT infrastructure and/or cybersecurity projects

  • Strong project management fundamentals across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder management

  • Experience working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment

  • Experience coordinating across technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors

  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

  • Ability to quickly understand technical and business concepts

  • Ability to manage project financials including forecasting, budgeting, and invoice tracking

  • Experience creating and maintaining status reporting and project documentation

  • Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and follow-through

Strongly Preferred

These are strong positives in resume evaluation:

  • Background in Infrastructure Project Management with Cybersecurity exposure

  • Experience with cybersecurity-focused programs or tools

  • Exposure to network infrastructure, hardware refreshes, or related enterprise infrastructure initiatives

  • Experience working with Agile teams

  • Familiarity with Scrum; Scrum Master exposure is helpful but not required

  • Familiarity with Lean Agile principles

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Experience in an IT environment

  • Energy industry experience is a plus

Helpful Tools / Platforms
