Shift Details
  • Regular Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (5x8 schedule)
  • Training Schedule:
    • Monday: 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM
    • Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • Following 8 days: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position
The Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and calibrating mechanical, electrical, and electronic components to support daily production goals. This role works primarily in the Assembly Department and ACP Pack area, contributing to the build of Alinity diagnostic machines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on assembly and testing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow standardized procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and limited automated equipment.
  • Perform functional testing, calibration, and verification to ensure product accuracy and reliability.
  • Inspect components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality, FDA, and ISO standards.
  • Work in both the ACP Pack area and Assembly Department, supporting the build and packaging of Alinity machines.
  • Accurately document production activities, including material usage, build records, and non-conformance reports.
  • Troubleshoot basic production issues and collaborate with engineering, quality, and product development teams as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMPs, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and safety regulations.
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
  • May assist in training other assemblers based on demonstrated proficiency and experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Hands-on assembly and testing experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, basic measuring equipment).
  • Basic computer skills required for data entry and electronic documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and perform physical tasks associated with assembly work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA, ISO, or similar).
  • Familiarity with GMP, QMS, and quality-controlled production processes.
  • Experience assembling diagnostic, medical, or electromechanical equipment.
