Overview
We are seeking a Specialty Chemical Control Valve Specialist to serve as the technical authority for control valve applications within the Specialty Chemical market. This is a senior, highly visible role supporting commercial teams, engineering, and product management with application expertise, solution design, and market-level insight.
This position is application-focused — chemical formulation knowledge is not required. The ideal candidate understands how control valves perform in specialty chemical processes and can guide internal teams and customers toward the right technical and commercial solutions.

- Act as the technical SME for control valve applications in the Specialty Chemical market
- Support commercial and sales teams with:
- Product specification
- Application guidance
- Technical solution development
- Define and standardize application guidelines to ensure consistent, competitive solutions
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product management on product development and customization
- Support vendor list approvals and RFQ capability development
- Develop pricing and service insights aligned with market conditions
- Analyze competitive offerings and help differentiate solutions in specialty chemical applications
- Create and deliver technical training materials for internal teams across regions
- Contribute to increased bookings, revenue, and profitability through technical leadership
- Deep expertise in control valve applications within specialty chemical processes
- 10 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Application Engineering
- Technical Sales / Sales Engineering
- Commercial Operations
- Related technical roles supporting process industries
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and commercial audiences
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product teams
- Proven ability to produce professional reports, presentations, and technical documentation
- Customer-focused mindset with a sense of urgency and ownership
- Willingness to travel globally 50% or more
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (not required)
- Background supporting specialty chemical, chemical processing, or complex valve applications
