Job title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Norwalk, OH
Shift: 1st (7 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday)
Salary: $22 an hour based on experience
Short term contract role could turn into right to hire
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform machine repairs and preventive maintenance
- Assist in troubleshooting in all areas of manufacturing
- Replace minor machine parts or components and minor electrical machine components
- Perform basic alignment and calibrations
- Inform appropriate employees of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved
- Work within filing systems including work requests, catalogs, drawings and technical manuals
- Locate machine parts and components within the maintenance inventory system
- Maintain company required machine and equipment records
- Participate in facility housekeeping and remain alert of potential hazardous conditions and situations
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding and knowledge of common hand and power tools
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong time management skills required
- Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment
- Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
