Description :
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing and assembly equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant. This role supports production by performing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and facility maintenance as needed during the night shift.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing machinery and production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on all equipment and assist in developing and maintaining PM schedules
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement effective repairs
- Perform general building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and facility repairs
- Operate machines and perform welding and fabrication as needed to support repairs and installations
- Inspect, maintain, and properly document all hazardous materials on-site in compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and support production goals
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work independently on the night shift and respond to urgent maintenance needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
