Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Schedule: Day Shift, Hybrid minimum 3 days onsite per week (based on business needs)

Position Overview

The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for leading procurement initiatives across multiple categories, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. This role will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing initiatives and manage full lifecycle procurement activities for assigned categories.

• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.

• Evaluate vendor quotes, capabilities, and service offerings to select and onboard the most suitable suppliers.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions to secure competitive and favorable agreements.

• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service-level expectations.

• Recommend and implement improvements to sourcing processes; contribute to long-term strategic procurement planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

• Demonstrated success managing complex negotiations and supplier relationships.

• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

• Experience using ERP systems and procurement tools.

• Familiarity with sourcing methodologies, cost analysis techniques, and industry best practices.

Work Environment

• Operates under moderate supervision with increasing autonomy.

• Expected to use sound judgment, initiative, and strong problem-solving abilities.

• Reports to a Procurement Manager or Sourcing Lead.
