Test Technician
Schedule:Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:pm
Location: Statesville, NC

Reports To: Test Engineer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to support our Core Engineering team. This role focuses on assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting test equipment, executing performance tests, and ensuring accurate data collection. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical aptitude, experience with equipment maintenance, and strong technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities

Build, assemble, and maintain test equipment and fixtures according to mechanical drawings, specifications, and instructions.

Conduct performance tests on hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems, capturing and reporting accurate test data.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery and test systems.

Inspect materials, components, and finished products to ensure quality and compliance.

Analyze test results, identify issues, and recommend improvements to engineering teams.

Track and document project progress and results using Excel, Word, and internal reporting systems.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and testing best practices.
Qualifications
Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.

Experience in a technical, mechanical, or testing environment (e.g., test technician, lab technician, maintenance tech, or industrial assembly) is preferred.

Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery is highly valued.

Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial equipment is a plus.
Skills & Competencies

Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Hands-on experience with assembly, maintenance, and quality inspection.

Ability to operate basic measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.) and document results accurately.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Analytical problem-solving and ability to work collaboratively within a technical team.
