Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator & MIG Welder to join our hollow metal door and frame shop. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MIG welding, grinding, and fabricating metal components with precision and attention to detail. This position offers a clean, team-oriented work environment with individual workstations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding, grinding, and finishing of 14- and 16-gauge metals
- Cut, notch, square, and fit material accurately to specifications
- Maintain tight tolerances in all fabrication work
- Use hand tools, electric tools, and air tools safely and effectively
- Work independently at your workstation while collaborating with team members as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Perform minor lifting and material handling as required
- Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and templates
- Conduct minor prime painting touch-ups
- (Preferred) Experience with bondo or body work is a plus
- Proven experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints or work orders
- Dependable, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
- Must be able to stand, lift, and handle materials safely throughout the shift
