Janitor / Facility Maintenance Associate

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Overtime as needed based on production)
Position Overview:
Nesco Resource is seeking a reliable and motivated Janitor / Facility Maintenance Associate to join our team in Warren, MI. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility. A valid driver's license is required, as the role involves travel between the Warren and Fraser locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain building areas, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.

Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.

Perform minor maintenance and repairs, including basic painting, plumbing, and electrical work.

Notify management of any major repairs or maintenance needs.

Maintain exterior walkways by clearing snow and debris.

Support company safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous janitorial or facility maintenance experience preferred.

Valid driver's license required.
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and safety guidelines.

Basic math skills for measuring and routine calculations.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures.
Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to use hands and arms to handle, reach, or operate tools and equipment.

Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.

Vision requirements include close, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment:

Exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and occasional outdoor weather conditions.

Must follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures.

May be required to stop production and report any quality or safety concerns immediately.
