The Production Support team in Millsboro is looking for a Support Technician (Assistant) responsible for the preparation of domestic and international shipments and fulfilling orders for internal customers. You may also handle overflow tasks within the manufacturing area, requiring primary and secondary gowning. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and all safety and company policies is mandatory, as we operate in a highly regulated facility.

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Understand and comply with all safety and company policies and procedures.
  • Accumulate, label, and manage hazardous wastes as appropriate to your area.
  • Pull products from storage areas to complete customer orders.
  • Prepare materials for shipping, including handling dry ice and/or liquid nitrogen.
  • Finalize and store products.
  • Receive and issue materials from inventory.
  • Organize and store direct materials.
  • Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and/or pallet jacks.
  • Prepare, clean, and sterilize glassware and equipment for use.
  • Assist with equipment setup and operation.
  • Maintain data in SAP and be proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Attend training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., as required to improve job skills and product-related procedures.
  • Assist in training new team members and in reviewing and developing Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED or advanced degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand information and effectively communicate with colleagues at various levels.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with PC operation and Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • SAP experience and ability to work in a small team environment as well as independently.
  • Former warehouse environment experience preferred.
  • Experience working with/around equipment.
  • Former Pharma experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with liquid nitrogen preferred.
