Location: Columbiana, OH
Shift: 1st, 2nd (SWING), OT Available
Pay Rate: $19.25 $2.00hr Shift Differential
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate spot welding machines to join metal parts as per specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Inspect welded joints to ensure quality and adherence to standards
- Set up and adjust welding machines, including selecting correct electrodes and settings
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment
- Monitor and record production output and report any equipment malfunctions
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with other production team members to meet production goals
- Identify defects and recommend process improvements when needed
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in spot welding or a similar manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic understanding of welding techniques and tools
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting
- Certification in welding or completion of a vocational training program
- Experience with robotic or automated spot welding machines
- Knowledge of quality control processes in manufacturing
