Location: Youngstown, OH
Hours: 1st shift, Monday thru Thursday 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Range: $45,000 to $65,000 a year based on experience
Purpose of the Role: As part of our Manufacturing and Production team, the CNC Programmer/Supervisor is responsible for producing precision machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines. This role plays a key part in maintaining our high quality and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement in processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and set up CNC Mills using Mastercam
- Optimize high-speed machining and tool paths
- Troubleshoot machining issues quickly and efficiently, perform preventative maintenance
- Schedule use of employees, equipment, and materials
- Drive plant efficiency through innovative solutions
- Oversee a team of 2-5 CNC Operators
- Read and interpret complex blueprints
- Design and build custom production fixtures
- Estimate time and materials for new opportunities
- Use measuring instruments to meet strict tolerance requirements
- Select and apply appropriate inserts, tooling, and fixtures
- Perform regular cleaning and light maintenance of machines
- Track performance metrics and key KPIs
- Follow all ISO standards and safety protocols
- Comply with company quality policies and regulatory standards
- Part measurement and gauging
- Experience interfacing directly with CNC milling machinery is required. Experience working with Lathes is a plus.
- Making critical tooling decisions
- Responding to and correcting machine malfunctions
- Programming and machining complex, high-tolerance parts using Mastercam
