Objectives
- Develop costing system for new manufacturing facility, with the goals of accurate reporting, reducing costs, and working toward the optimal return on investment.
- Ensure inventory counts and costs are accurate.
- Manage fixed asset additions, disposals, and depreciation, including leases.
- Support the Accounting Manager by completing other tasks
Costing
- Develop system to track production costs.
- Updating the costs of products and services based on the associated expenses.
- Predicts, plans, and records variable costs such as purchases of raw material, labor, and operation costs.
- Work closely with operations, assessing labor rates, depreciation, and overhead to recommend practices to improve profitability.
- Review, analyze, and report profit margins and analyze trends of highs and lows.
- Measure and report results related to production KPIs.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations to identify potential savings.
Inventory
- Track and report inventory quantities and values.
- Reconcile inventory details to the general ledger.
- Participate in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
Fixed Assets
- Maintain fixed asset listing, updating for additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Reconcile fixed asset detail to the general ledger.
- Update CIP list and reconcile to other reports.
Other
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management.
- Analyze financial performance and contribute to budgeting/ forecasts.
- Posting journal entries, evaluating records and files, and reconciling accounts.

- Job Costing & Gross Margin
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Skills and qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred).
- Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
