EHS Program Coordinator

Location: Pulaski, NY
Reports To: EHS Manager / Director of Safety
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:
The EHS Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety, monitor compliance, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and management of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Track and report EHS metrics, incidents, and corrective actions; maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Support training programs for employees on EHS topics, including safety protocols, hazard communication, and emergency preparedness.
  • Coordinate incident investigations, root cause analyses, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Stay current on relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory agencies and management review.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in EHS coordination, safety compliance, or related roles.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS software/tools.
