SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Warehouse Group Leader is accountable for the suitable handling and processing of the entire inventory in the Warehouse during his/her assigned shift. This position is responsible for assigning tasks to other Warehouse personnel, receiving of finished good products, and maintaining seamless functions in the warehouse. The Warehouse Group Leader is not limited to just these functions but is responsible for other tasks related to the department as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Follow all necessary documentation and legal procedures for inbound and outbound goods
  • Adhere to the compliance of all legal, food safety, food quality, GMPs, and safety procedures of the company.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of freight and products, assisting when necessary
  • Oversee the handling of consignments to include loading and unloading.
  • Maintaining an account of the entire supplies, raw and packaging materials inventory in the warehouse.
  • Ensuring the proper labeling and tagging of all goods and materials.
  • Supervising the functions and working of the warehouse staff assigned to his/her shift Organizing and conducting necessary training activities for his/her shift staff and workers.
  • Report any improper functioning tools and equipment to the warehouse manager
  • Supervise the deliveries of supplies to the lines according to SOPs
  • Validating the received materials and goods with the invoices to ascertain the precision of the goods delivered.
  • Ensuring the completion of all paper work relating to the receipt and loading of goods.
  • Ensuring the proper handling and stocking of all inventories
  • Monitoring the warehouse records and inventory and filing reports of discrepancies in quantities and damages to the manager.
  • Coordinate all product transportation requirements and schedules with the Warehouse Manager. This would include outbound shipments to cold storage and customers.
  • Coordinating with suppliers regarding the shipments and delivery of orders.
  • Completes Forklift and Trailer inspections following company requirements.
  • Strives to maintain a NO DAMAGED PRODUCT tolerance and reports any product damage to the warehouse manager.
  • Report all issues to warehouse manager.
  • Maintain accurate records on finished good products.
  • Verify all incoming and outgoing product is inspected by following FIFO & GMPs, as well as loads finished good products following FIFO (first in, first out).
  • Warehouse department and equipment must be clean and neat each shift and at all times.
  • Maintains a good safety forklift driving record and follows company safety policy.
  • Signs, dates, and completes all inventory, storage and shipping documents according to company requirements.
  • Required to use SAP (Warehouse Application) and other applications.
  • Receives all finished good products from the production jobs into SAP using a hand held scanner or mobile computer.
  • Assist manager in reviewing open sales orders and maintains an acceptable inventory of goods in house to cover customers requirements.
  • Assists with picking and delivering samples or test products as requisitioned. In absence on the manager, the group leader will assume all duties.

Skills/Experience:
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Valid Forklift license or certification
  • Good teamwork and leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet necessary targets.
  • Analytical and operational skills and the ability to adapt in a face pace work setting.
  • HS or GED. Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing facility. Previous work experience using hand held scanners is a plus.
  • Good physical health and ability to manage work in a high energy environment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.


Required Skills:
Please note this is a temp to hire role.  The person will work onsite, full time.  The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.  Interviews are required.
