Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Location: Gates, NY

Summary: We are hiring a Quality Control Technician to support quality operations. This position plays a key role in auditing, inspecting, and monitoring product quality throughout all stages of production. The QC Technician ensures compliance with internal specifications, ISO 9001 standards, and customer requirements, while also contributing to process improvements and corrective actions. If you have an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a background in manufacturing quality systems, this is an excellent opportunity.

Shift: Monday – Friday; 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Mid-Shift)

Pay: $23.00/Hour

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality audits throughout the production floor.
  • Perform inspections at all stages of manufacturing, including FAIs (First Article Inspections).
  • Identify areas for improvement and help implement new quality control methods.
  • Participate in equipment revision approvals and verify results.
  • Communicate quality and compliance issues with urgency to appropriate teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate inspection and test reports.
  • Review and maintain documentation such as COAs (Certificates of Analysis) and COCs (Certificates of Conformance).
  • Monitor equipment calibration and ensure all tools remain within specification.
  • Support data collection and evaluation for deviations from quality standards.
  • Work directly with production personnel to ensure training on quality procedures and expectations.
  • Lead and maintain Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
  • Ensure team members are following established 5-Phase Training Procedures.
  • Work with customers and suppliers to maintain quality expectations and professional relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a Quality Control or Technician role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • ASQ Certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage documentation and inspection records.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs independently.
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods, and bend or crouch as needed.
