Application Support Engineer (Mid-Level)
Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for business and technology users, ensuring stability, efficiency, and performance across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and experience supporting critical applications in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for end-users and IT systems.

Integrate corporate and capital markets applications into the enterprise environment.

Deliver efficient, high-quality support for key business applications.

Coordinate with local and global development teams to release and maintain applications in test, QA, and production environments.

Develop and maintain tools to improve service quality and automate support tasks.

Write and update technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Follow ITIL best practices for Change, Incident, and Problem Management using tools such as ServiceNow.

Participate in on-call support rotation, including occasional weekend release activities and Disaster Recovery testing.

Support DevOps/DevSecOps initiatives to enable CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, and automated remediation.
Required Skills:

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Control-M or other job scheduling tools; scripting experience (Perl, PowerShell, or Python) in UNIX and Windows environments.

Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT frameworks, infrastructure components, application architecture, and connectivity.

Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise environments.

Communication: Clear, professional communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Attention to Detail: Strong documentation, organization, and multitasking abilities.

Time Management: Capable of managing priorities and deadlines effectively.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5–7 years of experience in application or technical support (experience in the financial industry preferred).
