Shift: 1 st , 30-40hr
Location: Trumbull County and Mahogony County
Starting Pay: $14.33hr
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher with classroom management and daily activities.
- Interact with children in a developmentally appropriate and engaging manner.
- Support children's personal care routines (e.g., handwashing, toileting, brushing teeth).
- Provide coverage in classrooms as needed to maintain teacher-to-child ratio requirements.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Prepare classroom materials and support lesson implementation.
- Ensure learning activities are both educational and fun.
- Perform other classroom or center-based duties as assigned.
- Receive and verify food deliveries, ensuring proper temperatures and accuracy.
- Maintain food safety records including temperature logs, delivery receipts, and meal counts.
- Serve meals in classrooms according to ODJFS and CACFP guidelines.
- Assist teaching staff with meal supervision to ensure a positive, educational experience.
- Follow allergy protocols and serve approved substitutes as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and prep areas.
- Wash dishes and handle food prep equipment safely and hygienically.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Must pass BCI/FBI background checks in accordance with ODJFS regulations.
- Must pass a physical exam and TB test per licensing standards.
- Must meet Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) staff qualification requirements.
